5.10pm – A funny one to finish off the day. The SMH is reporting Dan Nolan,  a developer,  who caused a media storm this year when he created a web plug-in that replaces pictures of Tony Abbott with ‘‘cute kittens’’ has FOIed what the PM’s department said in internal correspondence to his stunt. It comes to some 130 pages and Nolan is now in the process of creating a Pozible fund to raise the $700 it is going to take to secure the documents. 

4.32pm – How do you get teenagers to write Mum a Mother’s day card? Offer them concert tickets of course, that was the idea Hallmark came up with for this new ad campaign. 

4.05pm – What does last week’s ABC International deal with the Shanghai Media Group mean for the public broadcaster? Read Wanning Sun’s analysis of the “landmark deal” here. 

3.24pm – The NRMA Crashed Car Showroom was named best in show at the Sydney Royal Easter Show. It was created by Whybin\TBWA Sydney however the account has recently been awarded to a M&C Saatchi following a pitch which saw the incumbent bow out.

3.10pm – Fairfax Media has given notice on its Pagemasters subediting contract. There are now more than up to 40 jobs in the air. Full story here.

2.52pm – Don’t forget to check out the FYI section in which you’ll find the details of Olivia Newton John joining smoothfm; Priceline Pharmacy and Pacific Magazines partnering to launch a national campaign celebrating the diversity of Australian women; and, the Australasian Promotional Marketing Association (APMA) and the Communications Council call for entries to the 2014 APMA Star Awards.

1.50pm – To mark the 20th anniverary of South Africa’s democracy and the birth of what Archbishop Desmond Tutu called the “Rainbow Nation”, Coca-Cola and  FCB Johannesburg created rainbows in Johannesburg’s CBD.

“We are very excited to have discovered a way to create actual rainbows by capturing the sun at specific angles through a mist of recycled water,” said Sharon Keith of Coca-Cola South Africa.

1.16pm – We have all the details on Damon Stapleton‘s departure from Saatchi & Saatchi with the man behind Cadbury’s Joyville campaign set to pursue opportunities overseas. The agency is already actively searching for his replacement. He finishes up in mid-June.

12.13pm – Those Wicked Campers are something of a blight on the Ad Standard Bureau, aren’t they? Fourth time in a month they have been reprimanded by the ad watchdog. Full story here.

12.01pm – SBS has restructured its marketing team after the departure of its group marketing manager Katherine Raskob. Full story here.

11:49pm – The Advertising Standards Board has dismissed a number of complaints relating to a Target women’s underwear campaign fronted by brand ambassador Gok Wan, with complainants arguing the ads are “offensive” due to having women’s breasts, which are described in the ad as an “asset”. 11:19pm – South Australian beer West End Draught is continuing its attempt to take back land which ended up Victorian after a mapping error 160 years ago with the second instalment of its ‘The Reclaim’ campaign which sees the brand mark a new South Australian/Victorian border. 9.55am – The Monday night TV ratings have seen My Kitchen Rules perform strongly with an audience of 1.87m after the show returned from a week long hiatus ahead of Easter. Full story here.

8.26am – Morning all, and welcome back after the Easter break. In news over the weekend the Australian Federal Police have confirmed they have concluded their investigation into Ten over their paid prison cell “interview” with convicted drug smuggler Renae Lawrence. Full story here.
