Mumbrella masterclass for community managers

Mumbrella is to hold a half day masterclass aimed at developing skills in the relatively new role of community manager.

The session – to run in Sydney on Thursday August 4 – is aimed at those working directly for brands or at agencies that moderate online communities.

Organised by Kim McKay of Klick Communications, speakers include Nicola Swankie, content and social director at The Conscience Organisation.

Swankie will be speaking on how to begin connecting with consumers and the best platforms to use. Among the services examined will be the new Google+, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and WordPress. She will also offer successful examples and examine the measurements that should be put in place to measure a brand’s success when building a community.

Klick’s Dan Azzopardi will discuss pitfalls to avoid in building a conversation.

And Jye Smith, digital strategist at Weber Shandwick, will speak on social media’s effect on good SEO.

Tickets are $199 and the maximum number of places available is 80.
