Music website The Interns launches

The Interns, a website focused on new music from the Australian and international scene, has officially launched.

The announcement:

A website focused on fostering emerging talent by covering new music heralding from the Australian and international scene, the interns, has officially launched.

Developed by four Sydney-based, ex-music industry interns including an EDM queen, an R&B revivalist, the token indie-pop/rock kid and a ’90s fiend, the interns is an approachable space for entertainment and engagement.

“We support new artists, the ‘interns’ of the music world, and know what it’s like to be the new kids on the block,” says co-founder, Bianca Bosso.

“Our ideology is to foster new talent and provide them the exposure they deserve through social media, aesthetic designs and thought-provoking articles. We like to keep things fun.”

Part of the VICE Blogging Network, the interns features round-table reviews, interviews and discussions to encourage a dialogue between contributor and audience alike, to spark varied opinions and healthy debate on a range of topics surrounding music and culture. This conversation further transcends the boundaries of the online world, dispersing into the everyday.

the interns already features interviews with emerging artists such as Allday, Elizabeth Rose, Big Scary and SAFIA and also articles that have been endorsed by Lily Allen and Kimbra.

As an opinion-based features and reviews site, the interns can offer you high impact formats, custom-created content, festival and event partnerships, editorial integration and social amplification across our site and all social media outlets.
