Myfanwy McGregor is back to launch Adhesive PR with husband Mike Maurice

Myfanwy McGregor, the former boss of Photon-owned consumer public relations firm Frank PR, has started her own consumer PR agency with husband Mike Maurice – with McDonald’s as its founding client.

Adhesive PR is being positioned as an ‘ideas-led’ agency, according to Maurice, taking on players such as One Green Bean, Frank PR and Mango, which handles the national McDonald’s account.

Adhesive takes on a project for McDonald’s, working alongside OMD Fuse on experiential and events around the new menu, Loose Change.

Maurice and McGregor worked together at Frank PR, on clients including Schweppes Australia, Vodafone, EA Games, Reckitt Benckiser, UBank, Singapore Tourism, FFA and George Weston Foods. At Frank, Maurice was second in charge, reporting to his wife.

Maurice said in a press release: “The team has a proven track record in the Australian market. We are committed to maintaining a boutique agency culture, delivering BIG agency results, without the big agency costs and overheads. We are hungry to build our reputation by working on a great portfolio of brands and delivering some exceptional work along the way.”

He added: “PR is changing. There will always be a role for traditional media relations and strategy, however clients are demanding more from their communications agency. Our core strength is to come up with high impact creative ideas, which can be maximised via earned  media, however we believe a good idea shouldn’t be restricted to just media relations. We offer the skill set to bring these creative ideas to life in other channels including; events, experiential, digital, content generation, stakeholder relations, blogger engagement and of course media relations.”
