NAB hooks up AFL player to lie detector test in ‘Honesty challenge’
NAB has released a new ad based around its positioning as an honest bank.
The ad ties in to the bank’s associations with AFL, and features footballer Daniel Giansiracusa hooked up to a lie detector test as part of the ‘NAB Honesty Challenge’.
The ad comes a few weeks after NAB rolled out a new series of hidden camera stunts which rewarded the public for honest.
A great tie-into sponsorship.
And a much more convincing positioning than “Can”. A bank based around truth and honesty is pretty motivating these days, particularly after NAB openly challenged the other banks through their break-up campaign.
I assume it is Victoria only though?
Strong and strategically sound creative that actually does something and is relevant to the overall product positioning.

Funny, intelligent and simple piece of branded content that links to the campaign proposition of Honesty and further extends NAB’s AFL sponsorship. Good job.
