Need a loan? Ask Kyle
First there was the record label and talent agency, then the nightclubs investments and more recently the coconut water importing business…
Kyle Sandilands is a man who has his fingers in many pies. Now he’s expanded his portfolio lending his brand to a new loans business 13KYLE.
Need money for a car, boat, caravan, house or your business? Kyle has the answer.
It’s certainly an unconventional sales pitch, with the section on business loans asking: “FEELING LIKE AN ENTREPRENEUR? NEW BUSINESS VENTURE? COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT? KYLE SAYS HELL YEAH!”
Kyle can also help with the mortgage: “WATERFRONT LUXURY. COUNTRY MANOR. A CUBBY HOUSE PERHAPS? WE CAN HELP YOU BUILD IT.”
However, loyal fans will not get their chance to meet Kyle by signing up for a loan and dropping round his office to pick up an envelope stuffed with some of his KiisFM earnings, with banks including St George and Macquarie Bank on the lending panel and the venture organised by We Are Loans.
The new loans business venture appears to have been in the works for a little while with The Daily Telegraph speculating that Kyle may be getting advice from John Symonds, of Aussie Home Loans fame, about the move into finance.
But it now appears Aussie John is not involved in the project with Andrew Hawkins, Sandilands’s manager and CEO of his company King Kyle telling Dr Mumbo: “Through various work commitments Kyle has a network of many friends, associates and colleagues that are involved in the finance industry. He saw the opportunity to partner with the well known and trusted finance brokerage; We Are Loans, to start 13KYLE.
“Kyle saw the opportunity to provide hassle free, tailoredy finance to all his followers and members of the community. He is excited about his new venture and has great confidence in the team at 13KYLE to find people the right loan that will suit their needs.”
Who are We Are Loans you cry? They are appear to be part of the Barbagallo Financial Services Group, which according to their website is a West Australian car dealerships business, and appears to specialise in finance on luxury cars.
Dr Mumbo will be intrigued to see how this latest venture which is focused more on the east coast (where Kyle is a big name) and on the consumer end of the market goes…
This is interesting. The website says:
“quickly assess your needs and find competitive finance for your new business venture, top-end commercial, equipment, insurance and even debtor finance.” – but yet as they are only licensed as a credit provider and do not appear to have a AFS license they aren’t able to offer financial product advice.
Can a credit provider find you equipment and insurance without a AFS license? Sounds like it might be a financial product they are advertising.
