Nestlé, GSK, Westfield, Pernod Ricard and Blackmores among brands announced for Mumbrella’s Retail Marketing Summit
Nestlé, GSK, Reckitt Benckiser, Westfield, Pernod Ricard and Blackmores are among the leading retail and FMCG brand owners newly announced on the program for Mumbrella’s Retail Marketing Summit in February.
The summit launched earlier this month with Tesco Clubcard creator Grant Harrison revealed as the keynote speaker.
Among the sessions revealed today, Reckitt Benckiser GM Sandy Mellis, Westfield’s director of marketing John Batistich and the recently departed group GM of marketing at Myer, Tara Lordsmith, will front a discussion on the key issues impacting retailers and retail brands.
Other session topics will include exploring the science behind consumers’ motivation to shop, with presentations by psychologist Sam Tatam, who is Ogilvy’s head of behavioural science, Pernod Ricard’s head of shopper marketing Richard Dumas and Simon Tebbutt from Australasia’s most-awarded activations agency, ApolloNation.
Meanwhile, GSK’s area marketing director and innovations specialist Brad Cook, and Integer MD Georgia Bruton will share the strategy for leading pain relief brand, Panadol in driving retailer engagement and sales.
With the renewed focus on engaging with consumers in stores, Optus’ director of channel marketing and former marketing chief at Dick Smith and Ikea, Julie Grufstedt will co-present with M&C Saatchi’s head of retail Howard Spreadbury on the telco’s evolving strategy.
Nestlé’s shopper insights specialist Steve Norcross and Gateway Research’s Peter Brawn will look at new ways of uncovering in-store behaviour and highlight learnings from Australia’s largest natural in-store eye-tracking project.
Meanwhile, award-winning creative Linda Jukic, from Hulsbosch, will reveal how the agency reimagined the punting experience for TAB retail outlets, re-branding to Ubet and creating an environment more similar a sports entertainment bar.
The recently departed Campbell Arnott’s marketing director Vivian Zurlo will team up with packaging design expert, The Key Branding’s Candice Dunn to talk on the top 10 secrets to great packaging that sells.
A session on brand transformations will feature the marketer who launched the national ASX brand and the first CMO to be appointed by The Co Op, Greg Smith, who’ll discuss how relaunching and repositioning an established brand can transform the culture of an enterprise. Also in the session, Blackmores’ marketing and digital chief, Paul Di Vito will outline the vitamin company’s re-branding strategy.
Standard Media Index MD Jane Schulze will provide an overview of the latest ad spend trends in the major retail and consumer goods categories.
The Mumbrella Retail Marketing Summit will be held in Sydney on February 17, with discounted earlybird tickets on sale until January 13. the summit series follows Mumbrella’s Sports Marketing Summit and travel Marketing Summit, which sold out.
