News Corp announces new chief financial officer
News Corp has announced Susan Panuccio as its new chief financial officer.
Panuccio most recently worked at News Corp Australia as chief financial officer in Sydney.
Prior to this she worked at News UK as its CFO for four-and-a-half-years.
Joining the company in 2004 as a controller, planning and analysis director she then moved to director of corporate planning after two years before becoming director of strategic programme management for one year.
Rupert Murdoch, News Corp’s executive chairman, said: “Her superb work at News Corp Australia makes her the ideal successor to Bedi, and we look forward to her joining us at headquarters as we take on new opportunities in the years ahead.”
News Corp’s chief executive, Robert Thomson, said: “I have had the professional pleasure of working closely with Susan Panuccio, and she’s the right person to drive the next important phase of growth at News Corp,” said Mr. Thomson. “Susan is rigorous in her work and strategic in her thinking.”
Panuccio is replacing former CFO Bedi Singh and current deputy CFO Stacey Brown will be acting CFO in Australia until a replacement is announced.
