News Corp promotes Kylie McBride to director of digital marketing solutions
News Corp Australia’s national sales director Kylie McBride has been given a new role as director of digital marketing solutions for the publisher.
Jaclyn Clements, the deputy general manager of sales at The Australian, has stepped up to fill McBride’s place as national sales director for News Community Media.
McBride held the role for seven years, working across News Community Media’s national network of 120 local brands. In her new role she will turn her attention to identifying multi-platform marketing opportunities for advertisers.
Both she and McBride will report directly to News Corp Australia’s group director Fiorella Di Santo who announced the appointments today, saying they both understand the intricacies of successful sales strategies.
“Our brands are deeply embedded in their communities and have strong relationships with readers and local advertisers,” she said in a statement. “I look forward to working with Kylie and Jaclyn as we continue to strengthen these relationships.”
McBride added: “News’ multi-platform audience continues to grow giving advertisers greater opportunities to connect with their market. I’m excited to be taking on this new role that will evolve our digital offering for advertisers.”
Great appointment, Kylie is a talent rarely seen and will be an asset in this role for News.
