News Corp Studios partners with Chemist Warehouse to co-produce wellness title

House of WellnessNews Corp’s content marketing division News Corp Studios has partnered with Chemist Warehouse to co-produce a quarterly wellness publication.

The 100 page glossy magazine will cover topics around wellness, beauty, nutrition and fitness and will be available to purchase from select newsagents and all Chemist Warehouse stores nationwide with content for the magazine to be produced by an independent News Corp Australia editorial team led by managing editor Fiona Welsh.

News Corp, which publishes the likes of The Australian and the Daily Telegraph, unveiled its content studio last July, with this partnership with Chemist Warehouse the first deal for the studio.

Sharb Farjami, News Corp Australia’s director of national sales, said in a statement: “Wellness magazine is a great example of the diverse custom marketing solutions News Corp Studios provides to our customers.

“Wellness magazine will leverage our heritage of creating informative and inspirational content to engage customers and drive demand. Each issue is estimated to reach four million affluent and influential customers, providing a powerful platform for Chemist Warehouses’ suppliers to target audiences.”

While the first edition of House of Wellness magazine will be free, subsequent issues will cost $2.

Chemist Warehouse chief operating officer Mario Tascone said in a statement: “Our aim is that the House of Wellness brand will evolve into Australia’s biggest health media brand; a media brand designed to cement Chemist Warehouse as the number one destination for wellness in Australia.

“We will use our massive reach Australia wide to ensure that, from day one, the House of Wellness magazine will be the biggest distributed health and beauty magazine Australia has ever seen.”

However the title’s circulation will be hard to prove as it will not be audited.
