News Limited Queensland’s Fagan and Crutcher ‘set for axe’
News Limited’s senior Queensland management is set for a shakeup, today’s Australian Financial Review reports.
According to the AFR’s Rear Window column, Queensland editorial director David Fagan and Courier-Mail editor Michael Crutcher “will be shot any day now”.
The speculation follows last week’s visit to Australia of News Corp boss Rupert Murdoch.
News Limited declined to comment.
News Queensland will be in morn if David Fagan is sacked from his seat as State Editorial Director, as he has been an inspirationald and true leader to this state. It will be a dark day for Qld if some of the existing editors are appointment from either the Gold Coast or Victoria, as none of them has proved to be transformational leaders who can hold good ,reputable positions that will be required to represent Qld. We truly hope that this is just a silly rumour and that Rupert Murdoch is not influenced by some business consultants who don’t know and understand the complexities of this business.
