Agree with Andrew. Though, from a food perspective, there is nothing wrong with putting a link to click through to a recipe, photo, or review. Just as good a way to utilise twitter to share trusted information. @frombecca #1 on twitter for food + travel in Australia.

Congrats to Taste.com.au

Despite a serious lack of resources since their acquisition by News Limited from FPC Magazines, this red-headed step kid has soldiered on with limited budget and a lack of management love.

The site is one of the few properties in the News Limited stable that understands the difference between comments and community and they've worked hard in the social space whilst ducking attempts to have the forums shut down (the life blood of the site).

I fondly recall bribing my team to work back late to sneak in a quick redesign (with no budget or approvals) whilst CD at News Digital, powered only by the enthusiasm (and baking prowess) of the editor Tania Cammarano and Anthony Peet.

It's a great site and an even better community. I hope their Twitter strategy works and I look forward to eating more of Tania's delicious cakes.

Tania, if you happen to come across this comment, the Reading Room office is at 487 Elizabeth St, Surry Hills. Feel free to drop in baked goods anytime; it’s always “Cake-o-clock” here.

Cheers and best of luck,
Andrew
