Nine Entertainment has appointed Kate McMahon as its sales director for the Perth market, replacing Reece Hogan who is departing the company after 12 years.

McMahon, who will be responsible for Nine Network and Mi9 revenue, moves into the role after just over a year as group integration and marketing manager for the Nine Network in Perth.

NEC group sales and marketing director Peter Wiltshire said: “Kate is an exceptional talent and we’re delighted to welcome her to our senior leadership team. Since transferring from Sydney to Perth in February 2014 in the dual role of Powered Group Integration Manager and Marketing Manager her impact on the market has been impressive to observe.

“Kate has been pivotal in bringing the NEC approach to our agency partners and clients in Perth, and she has my total support in making the transition into this leadership role.

“As Kate steps into this role we would like to thank Reece for his contribution over the past 12 years. His commitment to the Perth market, and the NEC family, has left us in great shape and we wish him all the best as he explores new opportunities.”

Managing director of Nine Perth David Mott said: “I congratulate Kate on her appointment and look forward to working with her in her new capacity as we continue to break new ground in this unique market. Her appointment will open up new opportunities for our clients and team here.

“Reece was instrumental in assisting in the transition from a WIN-owned and operated company to an NEC company as we became a truly national network, with all the competitive strengths and benefits that offers. He leaves an exceptionally strong and respected sales team, and for that I thank him. I too, wish Reece all the best in his new venture.”

On her appointment McMahon said: “To lead such a supportive and talented team here in Perth is an incredible opportunity. With the assistance of Chris Eyres and Helen Filov, two of the most experienced sales professionals in the market, I look forward to delivering great results both for NEC and our clients.”

Hogan finishes up this Friday with McMahon’s appointment effective Monday March 2.
