Nine rebrands events division and makes promotions

Nine Entertainment Co has rebranded its events division as Nine Live and promoted Cameron Hoy and Chris Forbes.

Sydney, Australia: Nine Entertainment Co (NEC) is today pleased to announce the rebranding on Nine Events to Nine Live.

Geoff Jones, Chief Executive Officer, welcomed the rebrand, “Since we formed Nine Events we have worked hard to expand and evolve our business from just a ticketing service provider. Now as Nine Live we are a dynamic group of integrated businesses offering live content, ticketing, events and rewards alongside research, digital and data solutions.

“Our focus on innovation has changed the market and I am proud of the fact that Nine Live continues to break new ground in the live entertainment industry. Nine Live’s vision of life is better live lies at the core of the business – offering the best live experiences across ticketing, events and our rewards businesses,” Mr. Jones said.

Nine Live’s existing businesses will continue to operate under their current brand names – Ticketek Australia, Ticketek New Zealand, Eventopia, Softix, Nine Rewards and Allphones Arena. However, the touring and events division will be renamed Nine Touring and Events.

New Appointments

Cameron Hoy has been promoted to the newly created role of Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer, Nine Live. Cameron’s been a key member of the Senior Leadership team for over seven years, and has spent the past 3 ½ years leading Ticketek’s Australian business as Managing Director. Cameron’s new role will see him work in a broader capacity across Nine Live with a focus on driving commercial outcomes and business development. He will also work closely with the Channel 9 and Mi9 sales functions and content teams to ensure Nine Live is maximising every possible opportunity to leverage the unique strengths of NEC.

Chris Forbes will assume the role of Managing Director – Ticketek Australia. Chris has a wealth of industry experience and has made a significant contribution since joining the Ticketek business. While continuing to be based in Melbourne, he will provide senior leadership coverage of this important market. Chris will focus on the delivery of service excellence, innovation in process improvement and business development.

In addition, Cameron and Chris will continue to work closely with Dominic Teakle, Nine Live COO. Dominic will maintain client facing and operational responsibilities across the Nine Live business.

“I’d like to congratulate Cameron and Chris on their respective promotions. Both are seasoned executives that will ensure that the businesses that make up Nine Live offer our customers unique and rewarding experiences that can’t be found anywhere else,” Mr. Jones said.
