Nine’s Home Made TV ratings crisis
The vultures are circling over Nine’s reality renovation show Home Made after the show pulled in a dismal 860,000 viewers on Tuesday night.
Despite the network’s confidence in having a smash on its hands before the expensive production aired, it virtually sank without trace last night, comprehensively beaten by Ten’s Talkin Bout Your Generation which had nearly double the audience at just over 1.6m viewers and Seven’s The Zoo, with nearly 1.5m viewers.
The show dragged Nine down for the whole night, with the network finishing with a miserable 21.9% audience share, according to preliminary OzTam figures. This was well behind Ten, which will be ecstatic with its 30.2% and Seven with 28.9%. In Sydney, Nine’s share was even worse with 20.4%. For the ratings week, Seven has the lead, just ahead of Ten, followed by Nine.
Meanwhile tonight sees the final show in the second series of The Gruen Transfer on the ABC, although Mumbrella understands that the panellists will make a surprise appearance in a sketch when the Chaser’s War on Everything takes over the timeslot next week.
