The announcements:

NOVA ENTERTAINMENT LAUNCHES NOVA TV

NOVA Entertainment announces the launch of Nova TV, a service that will allow listeners to play on demand music videos using Nova’s playlist as well as allowing users to watch on air personalities in a seamless experience.

Nova TV is the result of NOVA Entertainment’s new partnership with Vadio, a global leader in video technology specialising in utilising broadcast audio playlist data and converting it into engaging mobile and social content.

The partnership makes available Vadio’s proprietary technology, enabling NOVA Entertainment to convert data from live audio broadcasts into on demand music video content for listeners accessing NOVA Entertainment’s online and mobile properties.

Emily Rayner, NOVA Entertainment Group Digital Director said, “We are continually looking for new and exciting ways to engage with our listeners. Vadio provides a proven means of assisting us to further the relationship with our audience by leveraging the compelling content we have already created. The Vadio music environment extends the reach and engagement of the on air experience and provides a fantastic opportunity for our video advertisers to connect with dynamic content in the social, mobile and online space. Vadio’s technology allows us to create a Nova TV experience for our audiences and clients across all platforms.”

Bryce Clemmer, co-founder and CEO Vadio said, “We’re very excited to partner with NOVA Entertainment on this project. The media company has proven to be a thought leader in changing the way audiences connect with audio content and our service is sure to help keep them at the leading edge.”

Nova TV will be available this May (2014) and will be accessible via Nova’s on-line, mobile and social platforms.

NOVA Entertainment announces the next stage to the company’s recent corporate rebrand with an industry leading site launching on 14 April. The industry site launches with an insightful interview from Robbie Williams who shares his passion and experience on entertaining audiences. Tony Thomas, NOVA Entertainment’s Group Marketing Director said, “The launch of novaentertainment.com.au showcases our transformation from a successful radio business into a broader entertainment company. The site will deliver useful information, insights and entertainment and is designed to reflect the ever-changing needs of the industry.”

NOVA Entertainment is more than just an industry website, it’s a resource hub providing downloadable content and tool kits for brands, talent and shows including biographies, images and in-depth ratings.

The site also shares insights and inspiration via case studies showcasing creative and successful client campaigns as well as intelligence around consumer behaviour, listener habits and industry trends.

NOVA Entertainment rebranded on 26 February 2014 and comprises the number one Australian radio network, the Nova Network and smoothfm 95.3 in Sydney and smoothfm 91.5 Melbourne. Beyond broadcast radio, NOVA Entertainment has diversified into live events with Nova’s Red Room, has launched a subscription TV offering, smooth channel on the Foxtel platform and is now delivering Coles Radio, a branded radio station, to 760 Coles supermarkets nationally.

NOVA Entertainment has also strengthened its footprint in online, mobile and social channels and in 2012 entered into a joint venture with US based streaming music service Rdio, one of the first of its kind to launch in Australia.
