Tony Faure appointed chairman of Ooh Media

Ooh Media has announced the replacement of Michael Anderson as the chairman of Ooh Media with the appointment of Tony Faure.

Faure has been a non-executive director for Ooh Media since November 2014 and will commence his new role immediately.

Faure has previously been an advisor to the company along with being on the board of Junkee Media at the time its acquisition by Ooh last year.

He is also a non-executive director of PredictHQ, Medical Channel, Uno Homeloans and Stackla.

Faure is also a consultant to Focal Attractions, the parent company of Mumbrella.

In 2016, Ooh’s former chairman Anderson was named the CEO of New Zealand company MediaWorks, leaving the Ooh Media chairman position vacant.

Anderson still remains on the board as an independent non-executive director.

Ooh Media has also appointed Joanne Crewes as its independent non-executive director.

Crewes was previously the president at Procter & Gamble for over three years.

Debbie Goodin, has also joined as the lead independent director.

Brendon Cook, chief executive at Ooh Media, said in a statement: “The diverse mix of skills the Board brings will provide considerable support as we execute on our strategy.

“It is a Board that consists of business leaders with proven success in audit and compliance, strategy, M&A, traditional media, digital media, disruptive innovation and technology and advertising and marketing – all of which are critical in delivering on our growth strategy.”
