Oporto appoints CreativeOasis and rolls out new summer campaign

Oporto has appointed Manly-based creative agency CreativeOasis, with the agency behind the fast food chain’s summer brand campaign which encourages customers to “go for it”.

Publicis Mojo previously handled the account, working on the restaurant’s steak campaign and the chain’s repositioning. Publicis Mojo confirmed they were no longer working on the account, explaining the agency had only worked with Oporto on a project basis.

David Stretch, CreativeOasis managing director, said: “We are delighted to be working with Oporto, one of Australia’s truly iconic brands.”

The summer brand campaign takes place on a beach and sees characters going for it in various situations, from surfing to asking a girl out to taking on the restaurant’s Bondi Burger. The new campaign features a reworked version of the campaign’s music jingle “just gotta go Oporto”.

Oporto national marketing manager Jason Piggott said: “The new summer campaign from CreativeOasis taps into the true spirit of the brand – to get out and ‘go for it’. It’s about inspiring people to go for things that are better, to notsettle for ordinary, boring or unauthentic.”

Complementing the TV campaign are radio spots, outdoor, digital and in-store.

CreativeOasis clients include IGA, Mitre 10 and Dymocks.
