Paddock to Plate gets international sales

ITV Studios has sold the Paddock to Plate series starring chef Matt Moran to New Zealand and Asia.

The release:

Matt Moran’s culinary road trip around Australia, Paddock to Plate, has headed offshore, with international sales in Asia and New Zealand.

Nominated this month for a 2015 AACTA Award for best light entertainment television series, Paddock to Plate won an ASTRA Award in 2014 for Most Outstanding Lifestyle Program.

Series host – renowned chef and restaurateur, Matt Moran – is hearing from people around the world that they’ve seen season one, following sales to inflight programming in Singapore, ITV Choice in Asia and TVNZ in New Zealand.

ITV Choice broadcasts to dozens of territories in Asia – from the Maldives to Malta and from Malaysia to Mongolia. It is available in more than eight million households in 40 countries.

Paddock to Plate screens in Australia on The LifeStyle Channel, only on Foxtel.

The series showcases Australia’s best food producers, with Matt hitting the road to find the best growers and farmers and then turning their produce into mouth-watering dishes.

Season one travelled through regional and rural Victoria and New South Wales, with the second season heading into South Australia and Western Australia.

“It’s great that Paddock to Plate has been so well received and it’s fantastic to see it go international and win awards,” Matt Moran said. “It’s clear that the show has made a great connection with viewers – the show has food, people and produce at its heart and it really taps into the growing interest that people have in where their food is coming from, how it’s grown, who’s growing it, how it’s been looked after, how it’s been killed or harvested and how sustainable it is. Paddock to Plate provides a great insight to that.”
