Pepsi drafts McConnie as marketing director

PepsiCo Beverages Australia and New Zealand has appointed Kim McConnie as marketing director following Amanda Thomson’s departure to take on the same role in the UK.   

McConnie has moved from her position as marketing director for the drinks company’s food division for North Asia, the Philippines and Pakistan.

She will now oversee the Australian and NZ beverages division which consists of carbonated and sports drinks.

Thomson has moved to replace Bruno Gruwez who was promoted into the new role of Pepsi-Lipton International business development director for Western Europe.

Pepsi recently launched a marketing campaign to promote its new-look logo and packaging in the first major update since the logo was created during World War II.
