ASTRA appoints Andrew Maiden as CEO as Petra Buchanan steps down
Petra Buchanan is stepping down from the top job at the Australian Subscription Television and Radio Associate after three years as CEO.
She is being replaced by Andrew Maiden, who joins after a short period as a consultant.
Before February this year, he spent twelve years at Telstra in public policy and communications roles. Latterly he was executive director, corporate affairs.
Maiden said in a press release: “I am excited to have the opportunity to lead ASTRA and represent an industry that employs more than 6,000 Australians and invests $667 million in Australian content each year.”
Before his time at Telstra, he was an advisor, press secretary and chief-of-staff to state and federal political figures including the Minister for Finance and Administration.
He joins in March 2013, after the ASTRA Conference on 14 March.
Well done Andrew!
