PHD Melbourne hires Daniel Isaac from Mediabrands to lead global ANZ strategy team

Daniel Isaac

PHD has hired a strategy director to handle lynchpin client ANZ.

PHD won the ANZ media business a year ago, and opened a Melbourne office off the back of the account.

Daniel Isaac has joined PHD’s Melbourne operation from Mediabrands as strategy director to lead the global ANZ strategy team.

He will work alongside Simon Lawson, business director on the ANZ account and report to the national executive team of Mark Coad, Toby Hack and Chris Stephenson.

Isaac replaces Angela Feruglio, who will now lead PHD’s non-ANZ business.

PHD claims to have won $24m in new business in Melbourne in the last three months, hiring six people to handle the workload.

The new faces include Roshani Roberts from Zenith Optimedia as senior account manager, Verity Goold from Starcom Melbourne as account manager and Olga Shchur from Canon in the UK as digital account manager.

PHD CEO Mark Coad said of Isaac’s appointment: “We are delighted to welcome Daniel to the team. He is a very experienced and highly capable executive who will value-add tremendously to the great work we are producing for ANZ.”

He added: “Angela is a great part of our team and has done an amazing job on ANZ. We started looking for a senior executive to run our new client side of the business – and realised we already had one.”

“Angela is the best in this market at building new client relationships and driving our PHD approach. Our focus quickly turned to finding someone to take over from Angela on ANZ. We are delighted Angela accepted this role, and we’ve been able to restructure to enable us to bring in someone of Daniel’s calibre.”
