In addition, one of Australia’s leading newspaper columnists Piers Akerman will be filling in for Andrew Bolt in the 8.00 pm to 9.00 pm weekdays time slot with Kel Richards, starting from December 21st.

Neil Breen takes the helm of Money News over the summer period following the success of his new show on Fridays from 8.00 pm to 12 midnight. Completing his first survey period recently, Breen’s regular show has covered everything from news and politics to sport, food & wine and entertainment.

Natalie Peters and Michael Pachi from the Macquarie Media Newsroom will make their on air debut on Sunday nights while Miranda Divine is on annual leave.

“Most of our regular presenters are taking a well earned break over the summer period but I am delighted to say that Chris Smith and Michael McLaren have agreed to stay on in different sessions,” Macquarie Media Sydney Operations Director Paul Bowd said.

“2GB has had another successful year as the undisputed Number One Sydney station with all weekday sessions also at Number One.  2GB increased its audience by 13% from the last survey of 2014 to the first of 2015, proving that over the summer break our audience’s thirst for news and information does not diminish.   Our summer lineup means our loyal listeners will not miss a beat with these talented presenters.”
