Radio Ratings: Brisbane – 97.3FM stays top

ARN owned 97.3FM maintained its ratings lead in Brisbane, increasing overall audience share from 13 per cent to 13.3 per cent according to the latest ratings figures from Nielsen.

It widened the gap on second station Nova106.9 which saw a decrease of 0.5 share points. However, the DMG-owned did maintain its number one breakfast show with Ash, Kipp & Luttsy despite a slight drop in audience share from 11.8 per cent to 11.6 per cent.

97.3FM’s Breakfast with Robin, Terry and Bob was close behind despite a decline from 11.7 per cent to 11 per cent.

ABC612’s Breakfast with Spencer Howson also had a fall in audience share moving from a 14.3 per cent share to 13.7.6 per cent share. It continues to be the overall number one breakfast program.

97.3FM’s Drive Home with Campo claimed the number one drive program from Nova106.9. 97.3FM’s drive show boosted its audience by 1.4 share points from 14.4 per cent to 15.8 per cent.

Nova106.9’s national Meshel, Tim and Marty had a share of 15.2 per cent, up from 14.9 per cent. The drive slot was the only time slot in which Nova106.9 boosted its audience share.

Nova1069’s afternoon show with Digby Gillings saw a decline in audience from 13.4 per cent to 12 per cent while its national Smallzy’s Surgery in the evening time slot saw its audience share drop from 11.7 per cent to 10.4 per cent.

ABC612 continues to increase its overall share of the audience from 10.1 per cent to 10.4 per cent.

Talkback station 4BC experienced an overall decline of 1.5 share points, moving from an audience share of 7.3 per cent to 5.8 per cent.

It’s audience dropped away in all the time slots. It’s worst performance was in the evening time slot which includes Sports Today with Peter Psaltis and The Lounge with Walter Williams. The station’s audience share for the time slot dropped from 10.1 per cent to 7 per cent.
