Brisbane radio ratings: 97.3FM regains top spot from Nova 106.9
Australian Radio Network’s (ARN) 97.3FM has reclaimed the Brisbane ratings crown in the first survey of 2014, with the station rising 1.4 per cent in the full week audience share to 13.4 per cent.
Rival station Nova 106.9FM lost audience, falling 1.7 per cent to 11.9 while B105 held relatively steady with a 0.3 per cent and an audience share of 10.1 per cent. The ABC’s 612 also had a bad survey falling 1.9 per cent to 11.9 per cent while rival Fairfax talkback station 4BC rose 1.0 points to 5.9 per cent.
In Breakfast Nova’s Ash, Kipp & Luttsy lost out to 97.3FM’s Robin, Terry and Bob, with Nova shedding 1.1 per cent to 11.1 per cent while their ARN rivals grew 1.6 per cent to 12.2 per cent. At the ABC Spencer Howson lost 3.3 per cent in Breakfast while at 4BC the new line up of Ian Skippen and Loretta Ryan grew 1.1 per cent to 6.9 per cent.
Nova was able to retain its dominance in Drive with its national show of Kate, Tim and Marty. It lost only 1.0 per cent and remained comfortably ahead of 97.3FM’s and B105’s drive programs which also both lost share. Classic hit station 4KQ was the only real winner rising 1.2 per cent in the Drive shift to 6.2 per cent.

Brisbane AM spread is somewhat misleading…so Spencer Howson is still King of AM Breakfast and Steve Austin is unassailable on ABC Mornings?
