Radio ratings: Perth – Mix remains top as Triple J reclaims audience
Triple J has managed to attract back its audience following a major switchoff in the last ratings period, the station posted an overall Monday to Sunday audience share of 10.3 per cent, up from 9.7 per cent.
The last ratings period saw the ABC’s youth-focused national music station experience a major switchoff in the 18-24 age group, however it has reclaimed its audience in that demographic boosting its audience share 8.9 share points from 23.8 per cent to 32.7.
Meanwhile, Southern Cross Austereo’s Mix 94.5 retained its number one position, despite a minor audience decrease of 0.9 share points to a share of 14.2 per cent.
However in breakfast, Nova’s Nathan, Nat and Shaun breakfast show closed the gap on Mix 94.5’s Clairsy, Shane & Kymba, with Nova posting an audience share of 13.2 per cent compared to Mix’s share of 13.5 per cent.
Fairfax’s 96FM breakfast with Blackers, Carmen and Fitzi maintained their third place position with an audience share of 10.2 per cent.
ABC720 continues to face audience declines, with its audience slipping across each timeslot. Overall the station sits in sixth place, with a Monday to Sunday share of 10 per cent.
However, it still holds onto its overall breakfast crown, tied with Mix 94.5, posting an audience share of 13.5 per cent, down from 15 per cent.
In the drive timeslot, Nova Entertainment’s national syndicated program with Kate, Tim and Marty claimed the number one spot after growing its audience by 2.5 share points from 12.9 per cent to 15.4 per cent.
Mix 94.5’s drive team of Lisa and Tim saw its audience slip by 1 share point from 15.2 per cent to 14.2 per cnet.
96FM’s Just Drive with Darren de Mello was in third place in the FM rankings with a share of 9.8 per cent.
