Will local radio companies really invest in digital? Probably not.

But what about the content? There are probably a few radio nerds who will get excited about a new fancy radio, but will the content be good enough to drive the conversion?

Given the sorry state of affairs in Sydney radio, i suspect the answer is NO. If programmers can't generate any passion in radio listeners now, how will they do it with new bandwidth? They won't.

In a couple of years, broadband will be available in all new cars and punters will be able to listen to any radio service anywhere. Hello sirius, bye bye Austereo.

Great pic of all our brekkie show radio favourites. Can anyone name them all? Obvious by their absence, of course, are two particular people. I bet that burns them and Austereo to the bone; to be missing from "one of the biggest events in the history of Australian radio".
