RadiumOne and Turn in legal stoush over commercial director

Programmatic advertising platforms RadiumOne and Turn are locked in a legal stoush over the appointment of former senior Fairfax sales executive Ben Green.

Green had departed his job with Fairfax Media last month to take up a position with RadiumOne as it prepared to launch in Australia. However, he then accepted a position at rival Turn, and was announced as its new commercial director two weeks ago.

Mumbrella understands the companies are now in dispute amid claims they have both signed employment agreements with him, with RadiumOne now seeking to enforce a non-compete clause to delay him starting in the role with Turn.

Both Green and Turn did not respond to repeated requests for comment. A spokesman for RadiumOne told Mumbrella: “There is a legal case and therefore we are unable to comment on it.”

Green was Fairfax’s national sales director of direct response and data-driven advertising until last month.

His departure comes at a time when Fairfax is also searching for replacements for their top sales executives Ed Harrison and Paul Sigaloff who left the company in December last year for positions at Yahoo!7.

RadiumOne formally launched in Australia last week.
