The announcement:

lucy AchesonRAPP Australia is pleased to announce the appointment of Lucy Acheson to the Head of Data Science and Insights working across the Sydney and Melbourne offices. Joining the agency directly from London, Lucy has nearly 18 years experience managing the analytical and insight requirements of some of the UK’s biggest brands including Tesco Bank, British Gas and Diageo.

Prior to her move to Australia, Lucy was Head of Data at WDMP, one of the few remaining progressive independent agencies in Europe where she was the data lead on the agency’s 2013 DMA Grand Prix award-winning campaign for Monarch. The appointment underlines RAPP’s continued position as a leading data-driven insights agency as it looks to greater analytic capabilities to improve the customer experience of its clients.

Speaking on her new role, Lucy comments, “I relish the opportunity and challenge a new market presents. RAPP’s obvious energetic and pioneering attitude really appeals to me as I am always looking to help unite data, talent and expertise.”

“I am genuinely excited to be part of a group that is hungry to develop its data credentials with the goal of fueling a great creative product,” adds Lucy.

Lucy’s appointment comes following the recent addition of Rob Voase, CRM Planning Director, to RAPP as it continues to advance the data landscape, developing human insights to appropriately manage and deploy data across the marketing process.

Simone Blakers, Managing Director, RAPP Sydney says, “We are delighted to welcome Lucy to RAPP and have been working closely with her in the lead up to her official move to Australia. Her experience and insights from the contrasting dynamics in the European market means we have the structure and leading talent in place to really interrogate and translate data into actionable, effective, insights for Australian brands.”

Lucy will be working on accounts across both offices, working closely with Simone in Sydney and David Brown, Managing Director RAPP Melbourne, who concludes, “From the moment Simone and I started conversations with Lucy we knew that not only was her experience and expertise second-to-none, but that she’d be a great cultural fit. Our unofficial title for her is our Duchess of Data, which we know she is not a fan of so we are pretty sure it’s going to stick! We really are thrilled to have her on board.”
