Real men named James Bond in ‘The Other Fellow’ doco
Boutique production company Mindboggler has made a documentary that looks into how people’s lives are affected by having the name James Bond.
Titled The Other Fellow, the doco was shot during the release of the most recent Bond film Skyfall. It covers the lives of ten men in different parts of the world who share a name with the double agent.
Fans can find out more about the film and meet the James Bonds featured in the doco, who are posting on the film’s Facebook page.
Mindboggler hopes to get distribution via film festivals, and has seen the trailer shared on 007 fansites and elsewhere.
The Other Fellow’s director Matthew Bowyer said: “After considering everything from ‘Meet the Bonds’ to ‘007up’ we thought this was the most appropriate title for our film. It sums up the life experience of the men featured in the movie – living every day as the ‘other’ James Bond.”
The Other Fellow is Mindboggler’s first feature film. It has produced commercials work for Microsoft Australia and Suncorp and a number of viral videos, including the ‘Cat in Earthquake Melbourne’ that duped Seven News in June.

Didn’t CBS base a TV show on this concept … called ‘Same Name’ or something? I vaguely remember seeing ads for it … they had trouble ordering pizza and booked restaurants.
