Restaurant Revolution sinks to a new low while The Bachelor continues to fly for Ten

Restaurant revoutionLewis, Doc Martin and daytime soapie The Bold and the Beautiful were some of the shows to outrate Seven’s Restaurant Revolution on Thursday, as the reality cooking show continues to act as an anchor on the channel’s performance.

It was once again relegated to fifth in its 8.30pm timeslot with a new low audience of 297,000 after being beaten by Nine’s NRL coverage in just Brisbane and Sydney (683,000) and 7Two’s police procedural drama Lewis (352,000), as well as The Honourable Woman (341,000) on ABC.

It was also outrated by the AFL version of The Footy Show’s 8.30pm outing in Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide which had 424,000 viewers. Only 48,000 catch up viewers were recorded for Restaurant Revolution for the last week.

The Bachelor was the most-watched entertainment show of the evening and won in the demographics rising to 899,000 viewers in the 7.30pm timeslot from last week’s 817,000, according to OzTam metro overnight ratings.

Nine again topped the night, leaving the other networks behind with 25 per cent of the night’s audience share. Seven and Ten came in equal at 14.4 per cent, ahead of ABC’s 9.9 per cent. 7Two was fifth with 6.8 per cent.

In the news battle Nine won the night with 1.073m at 6pm, 1.033m at 6.30pm, with Seven trailing with 928,000 viewers at 6pm and 911,000 for the 6.30pm and Today Tonight combination.

In breakfast Sunrise on Seven had 335,000 viewers beating Nine’s Today with 314,000.
