Richard Brett joins Pulse Communications in newly created role

Richard Brett 006Richard Brett has re-located from the UK to take up the newly created role of group managing director consumer at Ogilvy PR’s brand and consumer agency, Pulse Communications.

His move was first announced in June.

Brett also joins Ogilvy PR’s leadership team as part of his new role.

Pulse recently added the Intercontinental Hotels Group and Tourism NT to its client roster.

Oglivy PR Australia’s CEO Kieran Moore said: “Consumer PR is highly competitive in Australia and dominated by just a handful of agencies. Richard will bring fresh thinking, ideas and most of all passion and commitment to ensuring Pulse is the very best agency it can be.”

Moore said Brett will initially focus on accelerating the agency’s growth and developing the team’s existing talent.

“A major focus for his role will also be on the integration of earned, owned and paid media, and importantly for our clients, how PR can impact the bottom line – not just be creative for creativity’s sake,” she said.

Brett looks forward to applying his experience with a London agency to the Australia market.

“I’m incredibly excited to be joining the team at Ogilvy PR and Pulse, and look forward to working closely with Kieran and the broader leadership team.

Brett previously headed up Shine Communications.
