The Royals named lead creative agency for Sensis White Pages
Sensis’ White Pages has appointed The Royals as lead creative agency following a three-way competitive pitch, Mumbrella can reveal.
The agency will be responsible for reasserting White Pages’ “leadership position” for connecting Australians and Australian businesses.
Andrew Siwka, director at The Royals, said the team was “excited by the opportunity to help re-establish one of Australia’s iconic businesses.”
“We had been involved in a series of product innovation projects with Sensis over the last couple of years but this takes the relationship to another level. It also serves to reinforce how our product development and innovation competencies combine with our strategic capabilities to create a unique and powerful proposition for our clients.”
It is not clear which other agencies competed in the pitch.
Hayley Jovanovic, go to market manager, Sensis White Pages, said: “We were impressed by the depth of talent across the entire team and the speed with which they grasped the fundamentals of our business. We look forward to working with them.”
Accrording to Mumbrella’s sister site The Source Sensis White and Yellow Pages has a main media spend of $7.65m.
The Royals clients include Campari Group, Jetstar, Qantas, Fairfax, MTV and Intel.

I am a big believer in a marketing mix. It’s a bit like fishing; by combining the right bait and fishing in the right ponds, you can snare a great diverse catch.
Who would benefit from advertising in The White Pages?

you should check out Sensis Facebook page – so many complaints about these guys services… they should be spending money on staffing and customer services before media buying

@facebook Exactly. There is a sequence of events that need to take place before you market a product / service or business.
Ensure that the product / service / business works, has a purpose and isn’t broken would be a good start ahead of scatter gun branding.
Old school minds still running the shop then.

I feel bad for Sensis. Not only have they been slow to move, but they have been mismanaged and without strategic direction for so long, it’s so entrenched in the business and culture of the senior executives. Good luck to any agency servicing them.
