Saatchi & Saatchi NZ creative director moves to Lavender

Saatchi & Saatchi New Zealand creative director Luke Chess is moving to Lavender Sydney to take up the role of executive creative director.

Chess joined Saatchi & Saatchi NZ in January last year as a senior creative. He was promoted to the position of creative director in May.

Chess was previously creative director at BWM (Belgiovane Williams Mackay) Sydney. Clients included Telstra BigPond, Virgin Money, Diageo brands, GIO Insurance, Ateco Automotive and NIB Health Insurance.

Prior to BWM, he spent seven years at Saatchi & Saatchi Sydney.

Chess is expected to commence in his role at Lavender in February. He replaces Simon Lee who left the agency in November after four years in the role.

Chess’ appointment has also come as the DM agency restructures its creative department.

Lavender’s clients include The Australian Financial Review, Fujitsu, Microsoft, BT Financial Group, American Express, RTA and the News South Wales Department of Commerce.
