SAP Australia to continue working with Howorth Communications despite global Omnicom alignment

SAP logoSoftware provider SAP Australia will continue to work with Howorth Communications despite the company consolidating its global communications, advertising and media and other marketing services with Omnicom.

Perry Manross, head of global corporate affairs for SAP told Mumbrella:  “There are no immediate plans to engage Omnicom directly in Australia. SAP Australia has worked with Howorth Communications since July 2013 for Australia-specific communications support, and this relationship remains very productive and very strong.”

Howorth is part of Ogilvy PR Australia.

SAP announced the global consolidation which is part of an integrated plan for its ‘Run Simple Movement’, through which SAP helps organisations fight complexity through the applications of the right technologies and solutions.

On the global alignment Bill McDermott, CEO of SAP, said in a statement:: “Omnicom’s agencies delivered us a compelling, end-to-end vision for the next generation of the SAP brand. The ‘Run simple’ movement has limitless potential and Omnicom is the partner we believe gives us the strongest team and approach to scale it globally.”

Omnicom’s assets locally include DDB, Clemenger BBDO, Whybin\TBWA and Porter Novelli as well as media agencies OMD and PHD.
