Sapient Nitro hires ex-Y&R strategy chief Mike Morrison
Ex-Y&R Brands chief strategy officer Mike Morrison has joined Sapient Nitro as national strategy director.
After five years at Y&R, Morrison left in 2008 and has since been running his own consultancy, Pitch to Win.
Sapient has made three other hires as it looks to strengthen its focus on digital and data marketing.
Joining as head of CRM is Dan Wilson from Wunderman, where he was head of data services.
Bryan Jones joins from Sapient’s Chicago office as director of creative technology. Ex-BMF executive Brian Benene joins as digital project director.
“We’re looking at trying to evolve our business focus around digital and customer experience, and these hires reflect that,” Sapient Nitro’s national boss Paul Bennett told Mumbrella.
“We now have some of the best digital and user experience experts on board and all are passionate about the reshaping of the SapientNitro business model,” he added.
Sapient Nitro employs 115 staff in Australia; 45 in Brisbane, 40 in Melbourne and 30 in Sydney.
Mike is a great thinker and strategist. His new business record is second to none
