Seal to guest present for smoothfm launch

Smoothfm is to feature Seal as a weekend guest presenter for its first four weeks on air.

The British singer is currently on Australian TV as a judge and mentor on The Voice.

Due to kick off on Sunday at 9am, the show will air on smoothfm in Sydney and Melbourne.

Last week, Canadian crooner Michael Buble was revealed as a guest presenter for the first six weeks with a Saturday show. The station’s initial line-up also includes David Reyne, Richard Wilkins, Jason Donovan and David Campbell.

Paul Jackson, dmg Radio Australia’s group program director said in a press release: “We are delighted that an artist of Seal’s caliber loves smoothfm and will host his own show.”

The Seal show appears to have been deal has been in the offering since early in the process, featuring heavily in the stations launch sizzle reel, although Jackson skipped the question at the time:
