Seven to launch new reality show My Big Adventure

Channel Seven has put out a casting call for 12 people to win a place on a new reality TV show “that will change someone’s life” which Mumbrella understands has the working title of My Big Adventure.

Without revealing details of the show Sunrise presenters Samantha Armytage and David Koch asked people to apply to win a place on the show on Friday.

“Get ready out there for a massive new TV show that is going to change someone’s life,” Armytage said.

“For the first time on Australian TV 12 lucky Aussies will win a place on a new TV show. One of these winners will have their dreams become a reality and walk away with the prize of a lifetime.”

Seven sources told Mumbrella the program has the working title My Big Adventure and will combine elements of Survivor, Treasure Island and The Mole, taking place on a tropical island with contestants challenged to find a $1m prize.

Money will be hidden behind a locked panel on a grid floating on water in an “aqua stadium”. Contestants will have to unlock the right box with a key to win the million dollar prize.

“If you want the chance at a big adventure then all you need to do is go to the Sunrise website,” Koch said. “And heads up, if you’re in Sydney or Brisbane this weekend is your chance to get involved.”

The pair delivered the message from a paper script after a powercut at Seven’s studio in Martin Place on Friday morning hampered the broadcast for more than an hour.
