Should’ve got a local agency
This curious ad ran in the Sydney Morning Herald today.
The copy explains why “Down under’s not over” because BA is sticking with the Singapore route after Qantas shifts to Dubai with Emirates instead.
It looks to Dr Mumbo like a classic case of a British agency (BBH, he believes) writing an ad for a British client, and not understanding that from the Australian perspective, we were aware that Down Under’s not over.
I like the ad. I guess they just slapped together the copy to justify the image 🙂

TBH I think its a pretty good press ad, made sense to me and a good strong image. Not seeing the problem?

Dr Mumbo is right but I’m glad they said it all the same.
The Asian Century by Qantas:
Asia is really growing so we’ll send everyone via Dubai instead of Singapore, China or Thailand.
Win!
