Sony launches promotional campaign in countdown to World Cup
Sony, the official electronics partner of FIFA and the Socceroos, has launched a new ad campaign and promotion in the lead up to the World Cup.
Tim Cahill, Sony ambassador and Socceroo is the face of the company’s promotional push which includes a TV commercial to support its Bravia brand.
Sony is offering consumers 45,000 PlayStation3 consoles with the purchase of a selected Bravia TV set.
Saatchi & Saatchi created the TV ad, with promotional and below-the-line activity by The Marketing Zoo. Media planning and buying is being handled by Starcom.
Meanwhile, Cahill is also starring in the latest ad for Optus. It’s centred on the telco’s sponsorship of Football Federation Australia and its association as the mobile broadcaster of the World Cup.
