Southern Cross Austereo appoints Cathy Thomas to run Melbourne operation
Southern Cross Austereo has appointed Cathy Thomas as general manager of its Melbourne operation.
Currently the company’s national sales director, she replaces Ben Amarfio who moved to Cricket Australia in August.
Before taking the top sales job in February, Thomas was director of radio sales. She has been with the company for close to 20 years.
The company is searching for someone to fill the national sales director role.
Rhys Holleran, CEO of SAC said: “Cathy is a well-respected member of our executive team, who has terrific commercial acumen and an in-depth knowledge of our business. I’m pleased to hand the reins of our Melbourne business to Cathy, and I have every confidence in her abilities to continue to evolve our market leading brands.”
Thomas said: “I’m thrilled to be given the opportunity to lead such a motivated, hardworking and creative team as the General Manager for Southern Cross Austereo in Melbourne. The business is absolutely dedicated to investing in the best possible on and off air teams, which is reflected in the continued success of our Triple M and Fox FM brands.”
