Cameron: promoted to national head of content

Southern Cross Austereo has announced a restructure of some of its key radio content roles, with Dave Cameron promoted to a new role of head of national content and development.

His role as head of the Hit Network will be taken by Gemma Fordham who is a former chief content officer at NZME.

Chief creative officer, Guy Dobson, said Cameron’s role would cover both TripleM and the Hit Network: “After five years of heading up the Hit Network, and 11 years as the successful head of the Fox, (the biggest FM station in the country), Dave will now focus his attention on overseeing and programming all national shows and talent across both the Hit and Triple M Networks, ensuring they are both creatively and strategically deployed.”

“Dave will also oversee all new partnerships, ventures, formats and shows across our DAB+ digital radio offering, which will be increased significantly in the New Year as DAB+ starts to grow rapidly. Development is an undeniable strength of Dave’s and it will be invaluable to the broader business over the ensuing years”.
