Streetcorner launches three more sites
Hyper-local news platform Streetcorner.com.au has rolled out a further three regions to its local network which is driven by user-generated local content.
North West Sydney, South West Sydney and Sydney City will join existing Streetcorner’s existing sites for Western Sydney and Eastern Suburbs.
“We have a lot of community engagement from the Liverpool area and felt we needed to cover this community in a more localised way,” said Streetcorner GM Mal Jago. “It was the same with our Eastern Suburbs Streetcorner. We kept getting stories from nearby areas, like Surry Hills, and knew we had to take the plunge and launch an Inner Sydney site.”
The site was founded by Angela Clark, former CEO of the Macquarie Radio Network. MRN transferred ownership of Streetcorner to New Media Operations at the beginning of this year.
A radio advertising campaign for the sites begins later this month.
If you live outside their coverage area i.e Sutherland Shire, you can use;

If people are interested in a Streetcorner for their area, we are keen to speak to any passionate locals who’d like to get involved as an advocate or to operate their own “Streetcorner”..
