STW Communications has appointed Rose Herceg as chief strategy officer across the group with a remit to maximise business development opportunities, as CEO Mike Connaghan looks to boost the business with new business wins as the share price continues to fall.

The release:

STW has appointed Rose Herceg as Chief Strategy Officer.

As Chief Strategy Officer for the organisation, Rose’s responsibilities will include building a strategy  for growth that considers future and emerging revenue streams for the STW stable of companies, ensuring that business development opportunities are maximised, and identifying and providing opportunities for emerging talent across STW’s employees.

According to Mike Connaghan, CEO, STW: “Rose has worked in the company as a team member and consultant, off and on for a decade. She is a recognised and accomplished social forecaster, trend data analyst and innovative thinker. Clients are really impressed with her profound intellect and incredible passion and we’re really excited to be able to appoint Rose to the Chief Strategy Officer role. We need to drive growth with, and for our clients. Change is all around us. Rose will provide an incredible level of insight for our own companies and our clients. Rose is already deeply engaged on a number of transformative projects with big clients and will be an important member of our own STW strategic and structural review,” he said.

According to Rose Herceg: “Returning to STW is like coming home, but to a different house. The ambition is the same, but it is a more dynamic, varied and exciting business. It’s a challenging and exciting time to be re-joining. I look forward to getting started and hope to make an impact in everything that I do,” she said.

Rose has advised corporations, business leaders and agencies in the US and Australia for 15 years.

She has had a long and successful history with STW and was planning director from 2008 until 2010.

More recently, Rose has worked on a range of strategic challenges for STW businesses.

Rose’s first business, Pophouse launched in 1998, became known as Australia’s best regarded company for innovation, social trends and business strategy. BRW Magazine named Rose the number one innovative thinker in the country and Pophouse the country’s best place to go for new business models and emerging trends data. In 2006, Rose sold her company to the STW Group.

She has written three books – her latest ‘The Power Book’ has been translated into several languages and is selling in markets around the world.

Rose starts March 2 and reports to STW CEO, Mike Connaghan.
