Subaru heads to Tasmania for latest Forester campaign

Sydney agency Disciple has created a campaign for the new range of Subaru Forester filmed in Tasmania, which focuses on the sports utility’s ability to take the driver beyond roads.

The 30-second TV ad features riderless surfboards, BMX bikes and kayaks before the new model of the vehicle is revealed, with a re-worked version of Russell Morris’s classic The Real Thing humming in the background.

“Subaru drivers are active people who participate in life. It seems every second Forester you see on the road has a bike, kayak or surfboard strapped to the roof, ” Disciple creative partner Peter Buckley said.

“As the SUV market grows its being filled by lots of so called SUV products that are really pretenders, that look like they would go off road, but won’t.  The New Forester is definitely not one of those.”
