Sydney Morning Herald media writer Julian Lee accepts redundancy
Sydney Morning Herald media writer Julian Lee is among a raft of redundancies felt at publishing giant Fairfax this week.
Lee, who returned to the Herald only seven months ago, announced his departure from the title yesterday on Twitter.
Before rejoining the Herald, Lee had a short stint as deputy editor of fellow Fairfax title The National Times. He was marketing editor of The Herald between 2004 and 2011.
Lee is now considering his next move.
Fairfax announced the axing of 1,900 jobs in June, along the introduction of paywalls for online content.
Julian – I always enjoyed our vigorous discussions. Onwards and upwards.
