2DayFM’s Dan & Maz enjoyed their first audience rise in Breakfast

Breakfast duo Dan Debuf and Maz Compton have enjoyed their first positive audience result of the year seeing their audience share in the timeslot rise by 0.9 to a share of 3.3 per cent.

While WSFM’s Brendan ‘Jonesy’ Jones and Amanda Keller’s show dropped 0.3 points they tied for share, and the lead in the FM Breakfast ratings, with sister Australian Radio Network station KiisFM’s Breakfast show with Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson, which fell 1.6 points to a share of 8.6

Neither could touch Breakfast king Alan Jones whose share jumped by 2 points to 16 on talkback station 2GB on AM, with the station enjoying a rise of 0.9 points overall to keep it at the top of the pile with a share of 12.9.

In the hotly contested battle for Drive listeners Nova’s national team of Kate Ritchie, Tim Blackwell and Marty Sheargold enjoyed a rise of 0.7 per cent to take the Sydney lead in FM with a share of 10.1, ahead of Dave Hughes and Kate Langbroek on Kiis who dropped a huge 2.2 points to a share of 9.1.

Merrick Watts’ nationally syndicated Triple M show picked up 0.9 to a share of 7.6, but 2GB leads the Drive slot with a 10.5 share, up 1.8 points on the previous survey.

Nova’s breakfast duo of Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald and Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli held steady with a share of 6.3, up from 6.2 in the last survey, while SmoothFM’s Bogart Torelli dropped 0.4 points to a share of 5.4 per cent. Triple M’s Grill Team was third in the FM Breakfast timeslot with a share of 8.1, up 0.3 on the last survey.

Overall 2DayFM enjoyed a jump of 0.8 to a share of 3.5, while Kiis had the biggest fall in the Sydney survey dropping 1.3 points to a 7.6 share, taking it to third place in FM behind WSFM which has an 8.2 share and Southern Cross Austereo’s Triple M which saw its overall audience rise 0.7 to 7.9.

Meanwhile 2UE continued its steady resurgence with a jump of 0.7 overall to a share of 4.8. That rise was driven by a rise in Breakfast with Garry Linnell and J0hn Stanley’s show picking up 0.9 points to a share of 4.9, while its evening show also lifted by 1.4 to a share of 7.1.
