Thanks for flagging that up. According to the website, it was withdrawn today. I’ve asked the question, and will report back once I’ve heard from the Tasmania Brand Project.

I think its a high risk strategy.

I believe TV or film can do wonders for a city or nation, but its an expensive exercise that might fall flat, especially when you have a Government organisation with not experience with making a TV series deciding what constitutes a good idea or story line by a gov tender process.

It reminds me of Tourism Australia promoting the movie ‘Australia’!!!

This is an interesting move when everyone else is looking at clever online campaigns. I think it’s a bit old fashioned and will be pretty expensive for them. Personally I hate advertorial style television and won’t be tuning in.
