Ten finishes week with metro audience of just 10 per cent as Sydney share dips to 6.2 per cent on Friday

ten logoTen finished last week with an average peak share of less than 10 per cent in every capital city but Melbourne, in one of the worst ratings weeks in the network’s history.

Across the five city metro, Ten’s free to air share for the week was just 10.1 per cent, while Seven and Nine finished on a dead heat of 23 per cent each.

In Sydney, Ten averaged a 9.8 per cent share for the week while in Melbourne it averaged 11 per cent. Brisbane and Perth both saw an average of 9.7 per cent for Ten, while it dropped to 9.4 per cent in Adelaide.

Ten’s worst performance across the five city metro came on Monday when it averaged 8.6 per cent according to OzTAM.

On Friday night, Ten’s Sydney share was just 6.2 per cent, only just ahead of SBS1’s 5.1 per cent. Friday night’s viewing in Sydney was dominated by Nine’s coverage of the Rabbitohs – Sea Eagles NRL preliminary final, which helped the network to a 44.3 per cent share of the night’s audience.
