Are you conscious of your name?
Trade journalists have oft struggled with the name of the The Conscience Organisation, but it appears their newly minted general manager Catherine Donnelly also has an issue with it.
In a press release she sent out this morning Donnelly calls the agency The Conscious Organisation.
Maybe she’s cooking up a plan to rebrand the agency.
Here’s the announcement in full:
The Conscious Organisation (TCO) is thrilled to announce the appointment of Catherine Donnelly as General Manager.
Catherine has been on board since December 2014, working with TCO’s founder and CEO, Clive Burcham in leading the business.
With over 16 years of industry experience, Catherine was most recently the Head of PR and Social at Naked Communications, working across its Sydney and Melbourne offices and playing a strong role in some of its more recent new clients wins, including Red Rooster and SBS.
With brand experience that includes PlayStation, Tourism Australia, Xbox, Foster’s and Blackmores, Catherine has held senior leadership positions at Hausmann and Ogilvy PR and refined her strategic and creative skills across the wider communications mix during her time at Naked.
Clive Burcham said: “I really liked Catherine at our first meeting. Now I know why. She has brought really good vibes to the team and we are winning new business.”
Catherine Donnelly said: “TCO has always been on my radar. Its values, talent and fantastic clients were an irresistible offer. I’m pretty damn excited about our work to date and our ambition for the future.”
TCO’s clients include Nestle, Samsung, Optus and Johnson and Johnson.
Ah the irony of Mumbrella having a stab at the confusion of conscious and conscience and in the very next article, as commonly occurs, it can’t work out the difference between its and it’s. I know you blame spell-check but it happens all the time!
